Our Mission

We assist teen artists of color by providing our participants with resources, opportunities, and a community of peers and mentors who look like them and share their experiences. In doing so, we create and promote diversity in the art world through inclusive and accessible means.

Recent Work

"Realizing that they were going to not judge me—that we were a team—really made me think, 'they're not judging me because of my race. They don't care about my race.' And a lot of that self-acceptance helped me be proud of where I come from and who I am." - Sofia Dominguez
I wouldn't say there was an external, 'oh, she's Indian, she can't be a part of this.' It was more internal: 'Am I supposed to be here? Am I supposed to be friends with them? Can I do this?' And then I realized none of that really matters." - Shree Balasubramaniyan.
"Over the summer, I was in a show called 'Mr. Burns.' The entirety of my cast was people of color... And there were so many things I could feel in that space that I couldn't feel in the white high school spaces I've normally been in." - Nikko Johnston
"When I was watching TV once, I saw 'So You Think You Can Dance.' A man named Alex Wong took the stage... It was life changing for me. I saw this Asian ballerina killing it. And to see an Asian American make waves like that... it inspires me to do the same." - Kaylyn Ready
